Yes! Its true and you can prove it by yourself. Energy consumption for a 20W Luxlite bulb is only 20% or one fifth of a comparable 100W incandescent bulb and lasts 10 times longer. Example: One 100W incandescent bulb consumes 100W x 10000 hours = 1000Kwh energy for the same time a 20W Luxlite bulb consumes 20W x 10000 hours = 200Kwh electricity.
