ADAPTER was developed for widely available PL-PLC compact fluorescent tubes before the arrival of self-ballasted electronic compact fluorescent lamps to replace inductive-magnetic ballast.  Invention of screw-in electronic detachable adapter made PL-PLC fluorescent tubes more useful for general lighting application.

Integrated compact fluorescent lamps have an average life of 10,000 hours but LUXLITE produced ADAPTER has an average lifetime of 50,000 hours, making it possible to reuse the ballast after the PL-PLC fluorescent tube’s end of life.

ADAPTER offers lighting designers interesting opportunities of using pleasant economical light in unconventional ways, particularly in rectangular, square, round ceiling and wall luminaries for foyers, offices, sales areas and exhibition room.
